Just checking to see if I can rouse everybody up for a little Christmas party. Nothing major. We could even meet at a restaurant. Just hate to see us lose touch (you know, the in-person kind) with each other.

I'am back, good night and so happy to be home. Neighbors had pizza etc when i arrived, smile.
Slept pretty well & do have to see doctor at 1 p.m., Vacketta's will take me. Mona comes in Tuesday, great..visiting nurse comes at 11a.m. today for changing dressing etc. BIG HUGS FOR ALL, MOM BETTE

I spoke with Bette, and she gets to go home Thursday afternoon! As Chris mentioned, Mona comes in next Wed. for 2 weeks. The Doctors have been happy with her progress, except she seems to over-do it (Imagine THAT!)

November 16 Bette

Yesterday was a bad day for her. They gave her pain meds on an empty stomach and she was nauseous most of the day. Today she is felling better.

Today at 12:30 she is having a meeting with her doctors to find out about her release.(probably Thursday) The physical therapist says her new knee is already bending further than the other knee! If you talk to her after she has had the meeting please post the results here so we can all see.

Good news - Mona is coming in on Tuesday and staying two whole weeks with her. Most of her Florida friends are going to be gone for Thanksgiving so this works out great!

Bette in Rehab

BETTE (not Linsey Lohan) is finally in her rehab room. You can reach her by her cell phone or call 727-943-4462. If you call the hospital and if she doesn't answer you will know that she is with a physical therapist. She said she doesn't care which phone number you call.

She is feeling good and still on pain meds.....which explains why she is feeling good.

Lisa

Just had a call from Lisa. She still does not know what is going on but at least she is comfortable. She said she had had a slight case of the flu on Tuesday but went back to work on Wednesday. She was coming back from lunch and started to have really bad stomach cramps. She went into the restroom and they became so bad she couldn't move. A coworker found her and they called an ambulance. She said she was in horrible horrible pain from 1:00 to after 8:00 last night, when they finally gave her something to help. They are going to take it easy with fluids and see what she can tolerate. Her phone number at Miami Valley is 208-1133. No one has said if she is going home or what the plan is. If you talk to her and there is more news please update here so we all know what is going on.

The Poop on Bette

Sally just called. Bette went into surgery around 11:00 this morning. The operation lasted about 45 minutes which is the usual time. She had a local antithetic which means she was awake for the operation but the Dr. said she won't remember anything about it. (Kinda like John's normal weekends) She will be in recovery until about 2 and then moved to room 726 at Helen Ellis Hospital. On Thursday she will move to the first floor where she will be doing rehab.

Sally promised to call and let us know if there is ever a time that one of us should come down.
