Sally just called. Bette went into surgery around 11:00 this morning. The operation lasted about 45 minutes which is the usual time. She had a local antithetic which means she was awake for the operation but the Dr. said she won't remember anything about it. (Kinda like John's normal weekends) She will be in recovery until about 2 and then moved to room 726 at Helen Ellis Hospital. On Thursday she will move to the first floor where she will be doing rehab.
Sally promised to call and let us know if there is ever a time that one of us should come down.

Hi Jill,
Everything went fine. She should be in her room by now. On Thurs. they will move her to the first floor where she will start re-hab. I will post updates when her friend Sally calls me again. Keep checking here.
Hey I just got off the phone with Bette. She said the pain medication is making her queezy but other than that she is fine. She was going to get some rest. I think she had atken some pain meds.
Has anyone talked to Bette since John did?
I talked with Bette this afternoon and she is feeling much better she has been up and to the head and they have her hooked up on a machine that keeps her leg moving. She sounded much better. Now what is going on with Lisa? What hospital is she at and for how long?
The last thing I heard from Hillary was that they were keeping her over night. They ran a CT but the results weren't back yet. Leaning toward thinking it is a virus. Lisa's phone died so there is no way to get in touch with her unless you have Mark's number.
